The Fernsehturm is a television tower in central Berlin. Much like the Sky Tower in Auckland it can pretty much be seen from all over the city, unless it's shrouded by cloud as it was one day when we were in Berlin in 2013.
his was taken on my then new to me telephoto lens (bought in preparation for safaris in Africa) as the bulb/ball/round bit peeked through the clouds.

Matobo National Park in Zimbabwe, where a group and I tracked wild Rhinos on foot, thats right, on foot.
We got close, disturbingly close. That photo below was taken with a lens set at 176mm and is not cropped. 176mm aint terribly long, I'm not sure how far away we were but it was close enough that if the Rhino had decided it didn't like one of us were were doomed.
Seriously though, White Rhinos are relatively timid and can be approached quite safely providing you do what your guide tells you (basically shut up and move slowly). All in, this was a day I'm not likely to forget in a hurry.

The Devils Pool is a small rock pool on the lip of Victoria Falls. During the dry season it is possible for people to have an adrenalin pumping dip on at the edge of one of the worlds largest waterfalls.
This mad looking chap is one of the guides standing right on the edge waiting for a group of tourists just out of frame (on this occasion my wife and a bunch of friends we were travelling with) to enter the pool. Presumably he is responsible for catching any one before they are swept over the falls and tumble to their death. Either that or he is there to take pictures, which is what he did of me shortly after I took his.
